What are hobby horse competitions?
Yes, hobby horse competitions are indeed real. Hobby horsing has evolved into a popular organised activity with competitions taking place in various countries, particularly in Europe, such as Finland, Sweden, Germany, and the United Kingdom. These competitions provide hobby horse enthusiasts with the opportunity to showcase their skills, creativity, and performance abilities.
Hobby horse competitions typically involve participants performing routines and movements with their hobby horses, which can include dressage-like performances, jumping over obstacles, freestyle performances, and more. Judges assess the participants based on their technique, execution, style, creativity, and overall performance. Winners are often awarded prizes or recognised for their achievements.
These competitions have gained significant attention and have attracted a growing community of hobby horse enthusiasts. They serve as a platform for participants to come together, share their passion, and celebrate the artistry and athleticism of hobby horsing.
